What Readers Like?

Before you click on the 'publish' button, it is good if you can re-think? The concept of e-reading and e-books is catching up really well. But the main thing is to ascertain what the reader is really looking for. Most sites talk about unique articles but mainly the content matters. The content immediately has a similar looking article with another popular website and this is one big challenge in the article marketing. In order to avoid look-alikes it is always good to write originally. Following a pattern does not work. Supposing you have all the articles in one sequence talking about education, the approach seems repetitive.

Before knowing what readers like we need to be certain about what readers do not like.. The staccato kind of writing does not appeal any reader. There needs to be connection when we say, 'For more information click here'. The thoughts need to be coherent in all the articles. Again readers do not like too much of jargon. It is of no use if you use heavy words and the reader has to open another browser to look into a dictionary. Eventually the reader weans off and loses interest. Distracting tool bars and loud information is rejected by a reader. Irrelevant use of keywords is the biggest flaw in article marketing and this gives more scope for syntax error in sentence formation.

Readers like articles that state a fact. A well researched article with an original theme is appreciated. Again the age and experience of the reader matters. There is no way you can gauge the age or background of a reader and hence many times neutral tone in articles get more popular. If it is a site about finance or insurance, then information has to be accurate. Statistics cannot be created but are based on factual data. Representing a product, the website has the major role of being responsible. If an article has been worded erroneously then it fails to meet the approval of the reader.

Readers like information and interesting phrases. There should not any kind of dichotomy of words when you adhere to the main topic. All the paragraphs should be connected and this can be achieved by writing sincerely. Many readers prefer an article that echoes their thoughts. They look out for messages which express their own feelings or expectations. A writer must be able to know how a reader will actually 'read' the article. The proof reading ritual must include the reader's point of view and any scope of improvement must be implemented.

Internet article writing is quite different from the print media. The marketing aspect covered by internet has a far reach and the prospective client has a deep sense of knowledge. The reader is intelligent and has the ability to know the indications mentioned in an article. To-the-point writing keeps us from rambling. This is an easy way to mention facts and retain focus throughout the article. Though writing is a serious profession, the article need not always have a tone of severity. The formal language that is simple to comprehend always appeals a reader.
